See how you can keep eye looks simple…
It’s all about the eyes and this is one of the most common areas of the face that women don’t bother doing much with as it seems too complex or time consuming. Well let me show you two eye looks that are easy peasy …..
Before we start ensure all your eye makeup has been removed with makeup remover and eyes have been primed with a primer (this make your eyelid appear more even and lighter in colour allowing the colour of the eyeshadow show up better).
The Easy Smokey Look
You will need a blending brush, a powder eyeshadow colour of your choice, a tissue, an eyeliner/ kohl pencil and your mascara.
Step 1 – dip the blending brush into the eyeshadow (get plenty of product on) then tap off the excess.
Step 2 – move the blending brush in circular movements on the centre of the eyelid by the lash line, do not move your brush past the crease in the eye socket.
Step 3 – repeat 3 or 4 times until you can see the intensity of colour.
Step 4 – wipe your brush on the tissue until nearly all the product is off. Then buff the brush with no product on over the crease in a slight semi-circle shape left to right. Until the eyeshadow looks blended. Keep wiping the brush like before to buff further and repeat.
Step 5 – apply the eyeliner to the waterline and the mascara on both top and bottom lashes…. eye look complete! (see feature image)
The Two Toned Look
You will need a blending brush, an angled eyeshadow brush, two eyeshadows one light one dark, a tissue, an eyeliner/ kohl pencil and your mascara.
Step 1 – use the angled eyeshadow brush to place the lighter eyeshadow at the inner corner of the eye (where your tear duct is) and sweep to the centre of the eyelid and stop.
Step 2 – dip the blending brush into the darker eyeshadow and place from the outer corner of the eye and sweep toward the centre, use small circular motions with the brush to cover the whole area of the outer corner. Only buff product up to the crease in the eye socket.
Step 3 – repeat if you want a more intense colour.
Step 4 – wipe your brush on the tissue until nearly all the product is off. Then buff the brush with no product on over the crease on the outer corner in a slight semi-circle shape left to right. Until the eyeshadow looks blended. Keep wiping the brush like before to buff further and repeat.
Step 5 – use angled eyeshadow brush to sweep the product left on the brush over the tear duct and over where the light and dark join.
Step 6 – apply the eyeliner to the waterline and just to the outer corner on the bottom lash line and smudge. Apply the mascara on both top and bottom lashes…. eye look complete!
